Après une fin de semaine de captations vidéo, mes caméras et les bobines porteuses de mes efforts ont été volées dans mon salon alors que je dormais sur le sofa. J’avais effectué un transfert de basse résolution du contenu de ces cassettes avant le vol. Ces images ont été éditées avec comme bande son l’enregistrement de l’appel à la police rapportant ce vol.

After a weekend of video recording, my cameras and the tapes of the efforts were stolen from my living room as I slept on the couch. I had made a low-res transfer from the tapes prior to the theft and those images have been edited to an audio recording of the police phone call reporting the theft.

HOUSE a été un grand film pour moi puisque c’était mon premier en 10 ans et le premier pour lequel j’ai utilisé du found footage provenant d’une source numérique suite à la découverte des archives Prelinger en 2004. Cela m’a aussi donné l’opportunité de jouer avec les nouveaux outils numériques (même s’ils sont simples) et de jouïr d’une plus grande liberté quant au son.

HOUSE was a big film for me in that it was the first film in 10 years and the first one that I used found footage from a digital source after discovering the Prelinger Archives back in 2004. It also gave me an opportunity to play with the new digital tools (although very simple) and much more freedom with sound.
